Vlacq Stud's stock in action and all the news!

  • Vlacq Hectique won the coloured class and the yearling class at the NWAG affilliated show; she also stood Reseve Champion Anglo & Partbred.

  • Congratulations to Jo Hitchins and her veteran mare Vlacq Itarille (Shah Shadow / Garalee) on their debut season ER: three grade ones and lovely comments at vettings - go girls!

  •  Congratualtions to Steve Bates on his homebred youngster by Khazad acheiving a first premium at his BEF grading

  • We would like to extend our congratualtions to Team Tandy and David Frogget for their triumphant first trip to the Nationals with AA stallion Kamal Ibn Dara - Reserve Supreme Ridden Champion and quite spectacular they looked too. Nice to know those Hipu Who children are still at the forefront.

  •  The 2009 Foals all arrived safely (2 a little early); three filles and 1 colt and all rather super.

  •  The Crabbet Organisation are to feature Vlacq Stud in their summer magazine. As Shah Shadow turns 25 it is a timely reminder of where it all began and where we are heading

  • The NWAG summer show saw Vlacq Hectique topping the junior coloured class, with 2yo colt Vlacq Boogie Knights stood second.

  • Vlacq Hamra Ishara has been home produced to some early ridden victories with devoted owner Sonya Scott. Fingers crossed for a happy and successful season for this striking stallion. Update: Sonya and her boy were moved up to third place in the novice stallions at the UK Nationals!

  • Vlacq Redwood Reflection has amassed more awards for his 2008 debut season in harness. The North Wales Group granted him their Special achievement award and a placing in the versatility class. North Satffs acknowledged him too in their end of season performance points. Red has been bought a gig for Christmas so we cannot wait to see him out again this summer

  • Vlacq Diamond Sparkle completed his first Novice 32km in April '09 with ease (and a grade 1) - expertly partnered by Georgina Hirst for his debut

  • Nov '08 - Princeton Mariner is having a little 'holiday' at Twemlows Hall - we are pleased to announce that he will be available to limited mares by frozen semen from 2009. Book your spaces soon to avoid disapointment!

  •  Two Vlacq babies strut their stuff at the NPS area 27 Foal Show (end Oct '08). Hallmark came home Res Ch SHP, while Hectique took Res Ch Arab/Anglo/PBA... and was the largest foal in view!

  • Vlacq Golden Trinket claims 2nd in a strong class at Malvern AHS Nationals at only her second show.

  • Vlacq Flint Talisman emerges Res British National Champion at Malvern; it was very gratifying to take full siblings to the Nationals - homebred, home-produced and by our Preium Stallion too!

  • Tricia Hirst and Vlacq Abattarik win the FEI 160km at Dukeries May 2008 with a thrilling racing finish with a pack of Bahrainees. Many onlookers commented on just how fresh he looked and what a fabulous ride he gave.

  • Vlacq Redwood Reflection adds another string to his bow as he is now broken to harness! He, Sue and Ian thoroughly enjoyed his first BDS competition at Erddig in May 2008

  • Laura and Quarida claim the North Wales Group AHS 2007 season purebred ridden points championship.

  • Sue Cole and Vlacq Redwood Reflection win both the in hand and ridden sections of the North Wales Goup AHS 2007 points championship.

  • Laura's hijacking of Sue's Sec C gelding brought home the Clwyd WPCS 2007 performance championship award from just a handful of show outings as a 4 year old.

  • Vlacq's partbreds prove their worth at the Clwyd WPCS foal show 2007 as brother and sister claimed both foal and youngstock champion titles.

  • Congratulations to Sonya Scott and Vlacq Hamra Ishara on taking Champion at Festival of Champions 2007... Handsome devil!

  • HUGE congratulations to Team Hirst and Vlacq Abattarik on achieving 3rd at the International Young Endurance Horse Champs in Compiegne (Aug '07)! Of the 180 starters Georgina's racing finish was pure adrenaline and Tarrik certainly enjoyed his moment. A very welcome boost after the tragic and premature loss of Khamul, a 'horse of a lifetime' with more passport stamps than most people

  • Congratulations to Gail Andrews and Vlacq Gilfae - this partnership keep producing the goods and have had a tremendous season once again in 2006 - not too many horses have completed 100 mile rides in all 4 UK nations! Further congratulations on achieving their 4000km award.
