Established over 30 years ago on the North Wales / Cheshire borders, Vlacq Stud has consistently bred highly successful performance Arabs, Anglo Arabs, large and small Part Breds and Sport Horses. Our breeding programme is aimed at producing sound, correct horses of good temperament suitable to compete in open competition. The Vlacq Prefix is now well known at the highest level in endurance (especially horses by Shah Shadow and Vlacq Khazad), Show Jumping, Eventing and Dressage, (those by Shah Shadow and Hipu Who) and the Showring, (those sired by Shah Shadow, Vlacq Khazad, Hipu Who and the exceptional Shah Shadow / Huttons Ambo Chloe family). Sue is an AHS Panel Judge and Laura regularly writes for The Arabian Magazine. Very carefully selected performance bloodlines have been introduced over the years; daughters and granddaughters of our foundation mares are retained for line-preservation. It is such a pleasure to see family traits passed down through generations, the improvements that certain breedings have made and, most of all, to see our horses 'perform' for us and their new owners!
